Creating your Online Portfolio 

In lieu of a face-to-face class to talk about how to set up your online teaching portfolio, Noah and I decided to have a quick virtual lesson to get you jump-started.

Look at the stairs.  Why are they worn down? 
Take a picture of the worn stairs and draw a diagram of how the erosion might have happened.

Use you knowledge of geometry!
Find and label as many as you can:

- an acute angle

- an obtuse angle

- two parallel lines

- A pair of perpendicular lines

- 3 polygons

Station 7 clue:
If you face green hall and use Galenstone Tower as the y-axis, go the staircase that is a reflection of the Platform 9 3/4 way

Take a picture of the archway to the left.  We want to make a mural.  Find the area under the arch.

Next Station clue:  En route to where robots are created, stop at the sculpture of no right angles.

Buildings are grounds wants re-mulch this circular area with a  2" layer.  Every bag of mulch contains 2 cubic feet.  How many bags are needed?


Next station clue:
Find the specimen of lichen.  Scan the QR code for the next station to watch a video, then take a picture of lichen in the courtyard and circle different species that you see.

(For the station afterwards, go down the stairs closest to PNE, then enter the Platform 9 3/4 stairwell)

Look at the Science Center and notice the pipes on top.  Imagine the building is a factory. What does it produce? Write the first 2 pages of a picture book about the factory.  Genre is your choice.
